Mixed Effects Statistical Modeling

Workshop with Harald Baayen (University of Alberta)

What: A hands‐on 2‐day workshop on mixed effects statistical modeling.

The workshop will beginning with an introduction/reminder about the basics of regression before moving on to mixed models and the like, and will end with some discussion of generalized additive modeling and of random forests. The workshop will use the R statistical analysis package. An optional pre‐workshop seminar will be provided to get participants up to speed with the software (see more info bellow).

When: Tuesday, June 15, 9 am ‐ 5pm: Workshop sessions 1 & 2 Wednesday, June 16, 9 pm – 5 pm: Workshop sessions 3 & 4

When: Monday, June 14, 12 noon - 1pm

What:  R Basics--how to read data in, how to do some simple manipulations of data, simple plotting.
