UPDATE (5/1/06). Apparently this particular hotel is now full. Northwestern has negotiated rates at another nearby hotels; see the list here. Note that not all of these discounts are the best possible rates; it is often the case that cheaper rooms can be found via Priceline and other discount sites.

Northwestern has negotiated reduced rates at the Affinia Chicago , located just down the street from the conference site. Rates for a single/double room with either a king size or two double beds is $139/night ($160 after taxes).
If you're interested in making a reservation, call the central reservation
desk directly at 312-787-6000. Make sure to mention that you're booking
for a Northwestern University event (and specify the particular event, the
international workshop on language production). Finally, note that August
is quite busy in Chicago; it's recommended that you make your reservations
at least 1 month in advance of the workshop.
